Gralix Actuarial Consulting is recruiting for an Actuarial Manager (Life). This is an exciting opportunity for experienced highly analytical and driven self-starters. Job Description
The successful candidate will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer on a range of assignments including, but not limited to, IFRS 17 implementation, statutory actuarial valuations, designing and pricing new products and reinsurance optimisation.
Requirements for the Actuarial Manager (Life)
• Undergraduate Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Accounting or any other numerically technical field.
• 5 years or more of Life insurance and / or pensions experience.
• At least 2 years’ experience in project management across the entire pipeline of the project
• Demonstrate an ability and/or interest in sales and business development.
• Experience with using actuarial modelling software such as Basys, Prophet, or Moses, as well as experience with Qlikview or SQL will count in the candidate’s favour.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and Excel skills.
• Making good progress with the Actuarial examinations, in particular candidates who have completed at least all the Associateship examinations will have an advantage.
