Our Client, a renowned Insurance Company seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill up the following position
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR RISK MANAGEMENT
Reports to: Managing Director
JOB PURPOSE
To provide guidance and leadership for enterprise risk Management by ensuring that the various units address areas of concern relative to the Company's strategic Business Plan (SBP). .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversees and coordinates the development and implementation of the Company's Operational Risk Framework
• Designs the Annual Risk Plan in conjunction with functional Heads
• Develops an enterprise wide risk management strategy in line with the SBP; Identifies, assesses, mitigate, and reports all Operational Risk exposures
• Develops Risk Registers so as to monitor the implementation of action plans to address operational risks
• Oversees the development of Standard Operating Procedures;
• Reviews appropriateness of Service Level Agreements;
• Manages IT enabled statutory Compliance
• Ensures implementation of all audit recommendations;
• Conducts functional quality assessment in line with global trends
• Conducts Risk awareness programmes in the Company and assists stakeholders in the Company in managing and implementing the Risk Framework
• Evaluates the effectiveness of the risk controls within the Company
• Prepares quarterly reports to Management & the Board on significant risk issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Relevant University Degree or equivalent
• Masters' Degree added advantage
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in Risk Management
• Excellent Communication & presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team player
