JOB DETAILS:
Educore Services is seeking a suitably qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Assistant Matron / Nurse to be placed at Sentinel Kabitaka School in Solwezi no later than 1st March 2021.
The school which is a part of the Educore Services group of schools, offers a rounded education and aims to be especially strong in not only academic achievement, but sport, outdoor pursuits and performing arts.
Sentinel Kabitaka is part of the exciting and ambitious educational establishments in North Western Province of Zambia catering for children from Nursery up to Grade 12. The school delivers the Zambian and Cam-bridge Curriculum and has been expanding over the years. .

Purpose of the Job
The appointee will report to the Boarding Master and will be an adult presence in the school hostels responsible for the welfare of pupils.
This role includes among others:
• Provision of first line medical assessment and emergency cover
• Provision of emotional support to pupils
• Stock management of cleaning materials and equipment for the boarding houses
• Liaison with the maintenance department over maintenance to be done
• Supervision of meal preparation, laundry administration and the smooth running of the house
• Attendance and support of official functions
• Open and regular communication with the house team, professional contact with parents, pupils and employees.
• Completion of roll-call as stipulated in the boarding policy

Qualifications & Work Experience
• A recognised Nursing qualification • Training in Childcare is an added advantage.
• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Work in a similar position within a boarding school environment or in a related field for not less than 5 years
