Business Development and Marketing Manager
Overview
African Grey Insurance Limited is seeking to recruit a talented and experienced insurance professional to fill the position of Business Development and Marketing Manager to be based at Head Office reporting to the Managing Director.

Job Purpose
To create and deliver sales and marketing strategy for the company, product range or designated market as well as short- and long-term income generation for African Grey Insurance Limited.

Main Responsibilities
• Developing sales and marketing strategies, sales and marketing plans and profit targets
• Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth
• Providing leadership and direction to the sales and marketing team
• Delivering sales by developing relationship with retail partners such as brokers, ties agents and franchise offices.
• Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in the target markets
• Structuring, supervising and maintain the sales and marketing budgets.
• Acting as an ambassador and role model for our business
• Increasing marketing share in existing markets and maximize new business development opportunities
• Managing customer service standards
• Overseeing and directing insurance, tied sales agents, franchise offices and brokers including engaging, training and motivating them to meet the sales targets of the company.
• Providing assistance to clients with regards to insurance claims and ensure that claims are paid in a timely manner.
• Sustaining rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs and anticipating new opportunities
• Conferring or consulting with departmental heads to plan and implement marketing activities
• Providing information by collecting, analyzing and summarizing data and trends
• Provide regular report and updates on departmental activities to the Managing Director
• Accomplishing marketing and organization mission by completing related tasks as received

Key Qualifications/ Competencies
• Grade 12 Full Certificate
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in business administration or marketing, project management or equivalent
• Membership with Zambia Institute of Marketing
• 5 years’ or more work experience in similar position
• Clean valid driving license
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Leadership skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
