TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 25 POUR FLUSH TOILETS IN MAKULULU, KABWE DISTRICT.

INTRODUCTION

Habitat for Humanity Zambia is a locally registered Non-Governmental Organization founded in 1984 and currently operates in three provinces namely, Lusaka, Central and on the Copperbelt. The organization has been responding mainly to shelter needs and related issues such as water and sanitation to serve the most vulnerable families living in marginalized peri-urban communities within the three provinces.

HFH Zambia through its BMZ Community-Driven Models for WASH improvement Project, is funding the construction of 25 pour flush toilets in Makululu, Kabwe District.

DELIVERY APPROACH

Habitat for Humanity Zambia promotes a community driven approach involving the local authority (Council), Lukanga Water and Sanitation Company Limited and community members and its leadership from the onset during the planning, implementation, monitoring and completion of installation works. This ensures development of local capacities in quality delivery of the product to the satisfaction of end users and the funding agencies in accordance to the scope of works.

Habitat for Humanity Zambia is now inviting bids from its registered vendors for the SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 25 POUR FLUSH TOILETS IN MAKULULU, KABWE DISTRICT.

This includes supplying and delivery of Construction of materials to 25 sites in Makululu,Kabwe Note! That the 25 sites are spread in various parts of Makululu i.e within a radius of 5-10km.The supplying and delivery of construction of materials as described and specified in the scope of works stated below as an annex.

LOCATION
Makululu – Kabwe district.
ELIGIBLE BIDDERS

The Bidder is required to submit the following documents.

-Signed Financial offer/Quotation

-Three months bank statement

-Three Reference Letters from reputable organizations

-Valid ZPPA Certificate

-Valid Tax Clearance certificate

-Provision of brief method statement and duration of project

-Personnel and Equipment (Truck-Hired or Owned)

-Proof of carried out past experience in similar works (Certifications of completion, award letters, Purchase orders etc).

DEADLINE FOR BIDS SUBMISSION
Bids including a program of works must be received by the Employer. All BIDs must be submitted manually and deposited in a Tender Box at Habitat for Humanity Zambia Offices in Kabulonga on Plot 488a Twin Palms Road Kabulonga, Lusaka. The submission should also include a USB Flush Drive containing soft copies of all documents submitted no later than Thursday 29th February 2024 at 16:00hrs clearly marked “SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF 25 POUR FLUSH TOILETS IN MAKULULU, KABWE DISTRICT”, and addressed to the Chairperson, Procurement Committee.

Please note that the Bid opening Ceremony will be held on the 4th of March 2024 at a Venue to be advised.
 
SIGNING OF CONTRACT
Promptly upon notification, the Employer shall send the successful Bidder the contract agreement for review and signing.

PROJECT DURATION
The employer expects the materials to be delivered within 20 days of the date of signing the contract. Note! The employer may request you to supply certain materials in intervals past the stated duration.
