JOB DETAILS:
• Pedrew Investments Limited (PIL) is looking for a Trustworthy and honest cashier. S/he will be responsible for receiving cash from customers, handling the point-of-sale machines and mobile money platform transactions. S/he will also handle the cash register.

Responsibilities
• Must have experience relating to reconciliation of Daily cash received from the various modes of payment to cash register transactions.
• Must ensure that all sales and purchases are recorded.
• Responsible for ensuring that all goods returns are properly recorded, and records updated accordingly.
• Must ensure that the shop always has readily available small denominations in the cash drawer to avoid inconveniencing the customers.
• Ensure that the correct change is given to the customer, to avoid shortages.
• Daily reconciliation of goods received to the sales made and the remaining inventory.
• Must be accountable for the accuracy of the sales and purchases daybook.
• Should always politely and respectively respond to customer’s queries.
• Ensure personal hygiene and a healthy and safe environment is maintained.
• Prepare daily goods requisition notes to replenish stock.
• Must ensure all goods received notes are signed off and copy returned.
• Ensure daily banking of the funds receive.

Requirements and skills
• Full Grade 12 certificate.
• Basic accounting or any business-related certificate
• Minimum relevant experience-2 years
• Computer literate, conversant with Microsoft excel and word.
• Proficient in English language and Nyanja.
• Good communication skills (written and oral).
