Background Information and Rationale
Description of organisation
The Joint Country Programmes (JCP) between Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) and Dan Church Aid (DCA) seeks to contribute to “a Zambia where all women, men, girls and boys on equal terms are empowered to enjoy economic, political, social, environmental and democratic rights, so that they are benefitting from a restored sustainable growth of the country”. Through integrated programming for cohesion, efficiency, effectiveness, and impact, the JCP is working with strategic a pool of core, resourceful and strategic partners who implement interventions to realize the envisioned goal.

Description of Rationale
Since its inception, the JCP has the role of strengthening capacity in programme, project management systems among the implementing partners. Currently, the JCP works through 17 partner organizations which include local NGO, faith-based organizations, and international NGOs. With the increased demand for timely/real time data accountability, results-based programming, and impact demonstration to donors, we are strengthening our partners’ knowledge, skills and competencies in rights-based approach, domestic resource mobilization, grant management, result based monitoring and reporting, innovations for impact including Learning and conversations on rights based economic development model. From action research, knowledge products shall be generated for evidence-based advocacy.
