Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Credit Officer to join our dynamic team. The Credit Officer will be responsible for evaluating and approving loan applications, managing credit portfolios, and ensuring compliance with our credit policies and procedures. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Credit Evaluation: Review and assess loan applications and credit histories to determine creditworthiness.
• Risk Management: Analyse credit risks and recommend appropriate credit limits and terms based on risk assessment and company policies.
• Loan Structuring: Designing and recommending loan terms that align with the borrower’s needs while mitigating risk.
• Credit Decision-Making: Making informed decisions about whether to approve or decline credit applications based on their assessments.
• Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of member credit accounts, ensuring timely repayments and addressing any issues or delinquencies.
• Compliance: Ensure that all credit transactions comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Customer Interaction: Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, explain credit policies, and address any questions or concerns.
• Reporting: Prepare and present reports on credit activities, portfolio performance, and risk assessments to the Senior Credit Officer.
• Accounting: Reconcile member portfolios and prepare monthly remittance schedules.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Credit Officer or similar role in financial services.
• Strong understanding of credit analysis, risk management, and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in using financial software and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
