TERMS OF REFERENCE TITLE – Data Coordinator
REPORTS TO – Project Director/ Project Managers/Data Systems Specialist
LOCATION – UTH
GENERAL SUMMARY: .

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Include but are not limited to the following:
The Data Coordinator will be responsible for development of data collection tools, aggregating and management of data for various programmatic performance monitoring within the CDC
Quality Improvement program.
• Design and development of data collection tools for CDC Quality Improvement program
• Design and creation of routine performance monitoring tools and reports
• Ensure that weekly and monthly reports are submitted on time
• Extraction of routine and ad hoc data sets for the CDC Quality Improvement program
• Development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for handling data
• Management of overall lifecycle of programmatic data
• Participate in data collection, data entry and QA/QI activities
• Take part in departmental planning activities
• Participate in the presentation of data to various internal and external stakeholders
OTHER
• Perform high quality work at all times.
• Attend workshops, conferences and other meetings as requested.
• Any other duties or responsibilities necessary for the successful implementation and functioning of assigned studies.
REQUIRED TRAINING
• Complete all required training, including routine Human Subjects Protection and Good Clinical Practices training.

• Database querying and management in any RDBMS, e.g. SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres etc
• Medium to advanced skills in any data analysis tool e.g. R, STATA, Excel, REDCap etc
• Medium to advanced software programming skills in an object oriented or functional programming language
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work in a very high-pressure environment
• Very good interpersonal skills
• Good team player
