JOB DETAILS:
A reputable and fast-growing Micro Finance Institution is looking to employ a Debt Recovery officer to run its Debt Recoveries Department

MAIN DUTIES
• Handle customer concerns relating to their account status
• Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debt
• Update account status and database regularly
• Give regular updates on defaulting customers
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable
• Enforce payoff deadlines or payment plans
• Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
• Be part of the disbursement process and ensure adherence to stipulated procedures
• Ensure collections are made on time by giving reminders to customers whose facilities are falling due

REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
• Proven experience as debt collector in the Financial Services Industry
• Experience in working with targets and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of applicable legal requirements.
• Diploma in Business Course
• Must have a drivers license
