About the Organization
Young Africa (YA) Zambia is a local Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), working in the area of employability and entrepreneurship targeting disadvantaged youth. YA’s program, known as the Integral Youth Development Program comprises Technical Vocational Educational and Training (TVET), Life Skills Education, Entrepreneurship Skills Training and Talent Development in Sport and Art.

The Job
Conduct Classroom Based Entrepreneurship Training
• Prepare schemes of work for the training period
• Prepare weekly lesson plans
• Teach entrepreneurship skills
• Maintain student class register
• Prepare monthly student tests
• Prepare end of term assessment reports
• Prepare final examinations and marking keys
• Maintain and update training file
Business Development Support
• Conduct business startup workshops for youths and entrepreneurship training
• Provide business support services to youths including support in developing business plans, budgets, business registration for those venturing into business
• Identify opportunities for young people to engage in product development to increase possibilities of youths running their own business and utilizing skills gained to produce products.
• Identify mentors and alumnus that can provide mentorship support in partnership with the Business Development Officer
• Conduct training and mentorship coaching for students prior to going for internships
• Provide career guidance and support, information about future options, services to assist students in applying for jobs including CV writing and interview preparation
• Support development of business plans
• Follow up of graduates (post-graduation to assess employment status)
• Marketing of courses
• Support sourcing of internships
• Links graduates to funding opportunities
