The RCZ Diaconia Department is a development wing of the Reformed Church in Zambia. Its primary mandate is to contribute towards fulfilling the Church's mission statement which focuses on "education all God's people for personal growth and service" and "serving one another and the needy in society with justice and compassion". RCZDD will between 14 July 2019 and 30th June 2022 implement a Community Resilient Empowerment Sustainability Transformation Community RESET) Project in Vubwi and Chadiza.
The main activities are promotion of climate smart agriculture, Household Food Security, Primary Health Care, Village Savings and Lending Associations (VSLA), Income Generating Activities (IGA) and Gender Equity and Human Rights. .
Job Responsibilities:
• The Project Field Officer shall assist RCZ Diaconia Department in the implementation of the Community Resilient Empowerment Sustainability Transformation (Community
• RESET) project in Vubwi District. He/She shall report to the Project manager in Chipata. Among the duties to the office are:
• Organize the 10 communities participants in Vubwi District;
• Network with government relevant departments and other NGOs working in similar development intervention to consolidate the projects development agenda;
• Facilitate training for volunteers at grassroots level in relevant disciplines;
• Coordinate and support work for Volunteers in all 10 communities in Vubwi;
• Monitor all development work through follow ups in project sites
• Prepare monthly reports and submit to the Project Manager
• Plan, coordinate and conduct stakeholder meetings in communities as per the work plan;
• Carry out other tasks

Job Qualifications:
• Should have full Grade 12 Certificate;
• Should be a Diploma holder in Agriculture or related fields;
• Should have sound knowledge in Sustainable Agriculture or Climate Change
• Should have skills in leadership, planning, implementation, mobilization and motivational skills;
• At least 2 years' experience community development or related field;
• Holder of a valid Riders License;
• Strong written and oral communication skills in Nyanja and proficiency in English is essential;
• Must be computer literate i.e. e-mail, MS Word, power point and Excel;
• Must be emotionally stable and willing to serve with poor communities;
• Must be a Christian
