JOB DETAILS:
Factory Accountant
The individual will be responsible for efficient management of but not limited to the below:
• Daily cash book processing
• Daily Stock variance reporting
• Ensure that inventory valuation is accurate
• Set up inventory par and reorder levels across departments on palladium
• Manage debtors according to the debtor’s management policy
• Ensure all creditors are reconciled and paid timeously
• Prepare management accounts in the required format timeously
• Provide commentary on the financial results of respective business unit
• Prepare, obtain approval, process submission and payment of all income and withholding tax obligations of the company
• Process intercompany loan account reconciliations
• Complete triage document as required by the business
• Ensure income statement to the gross profit line (after stock adjustments) is accurate daily
• Follow up on unbanked monies or reconciling items on the bank recon daily
• Process supplier invoices into accounting system
• Liaison with external auditors
• Provide support to the operational team relating to financial data analysis
• Reconciling the age analysis to the control accounts on weekly basis
• Responsible for safeguarding the assets of the business
