JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose
To coordinate and manage the Commercial and Premium client segments in order to deliver sustainable business growth and segment profitability and, to facilitate the design and implementation of effective client contact, acquisition and growth strategies respectively.
Duties and Responsibilities
• To design, implement and refresh client value propositions for Premium and Commercial client segments within the Society as required.
• To design, implement and refresh client life cycle experience with the Society from acquisition to on-going management.
• To ensure growth in clients under the Premium and Commercial segment portfolios.
• To ensure the growth of Depositors’ funds by developing and implementing appropriate segment growth strategies.
• To ensure that the Loans and Advances Portfolios grow in an efficient and optimal manner to enhance profitability and that both portfolios are well diversified and profitable.
• To drive sales initiatives and process efficiencies to ensure income growth and minimise segment revenue leakage.
• To monitor and review performance of direct reports / reporting units to ensure that they meet their performance objectives;
• Drive a strong sales performance culture across the network
• To develop the Commercial and Premium segment Budget against set objectives/policies providing guidance and ensuring that submissions are realistic and attainable and thereafter present the budget for consolidation into the Banking & Mortgage Directorate budget.
• To monitor the Commercial & Premium Banking sales activities and budget and ensure these are implemented and any required corrective action is taken as necessary
• To ensure that the services provided by Branch network and relationship teams are of a high standard and that processes are improved and made more efficient to support the institution’s growth aspirations.
• To implement and drive a strong service culture across the network to reinforce the institution’s Customer Charter and support the Institution’s core values
• To manage the Relationship and Sales team resources for effective job performance to contribute to the attainment of the objectives of the Society.
• To ensure that Relationship Managers, Relationship Officers and Branch Managers are upskilled to drive a standard of ‘best-in-class’ front line staff.
• To review staff roles and ensure staff capacity is at optimal level and in line with the Society’s aspiration for growth.
• To enhance Business Etiquette & Grooming standards across the network.
Qualifications and Experience
• Grade Twelve (12) certificate.
• Degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accountancy, or other relevant equivalent qualification.
• At least five years of relevant experience in a management role with a bias to banking / people management.
• Master’s Degree be an added advantage.
