We are in the process of strengthening our Internal Firm Services Unit through recruiting a highly motivated and experienced Head of Finance
The selected candidate's overall responsibility will be to manage the end to-end responsibility of the planning, reporting and analysis, financial forecasts and budgets of In-Country Finance activities and ensure that PwC complies with all statutory requirements within the Territory. .

Role Description Responsibilities
• Contribute to Africa finance strategy development and implementation
• Develop and implement Finance strategy for the Country, taking into account Country interests, relevant regulations, corporate standards and guidelines
• Organize and manage the In-Country Finance function.
• Lead the development, consolidation, forecast and periodical review of the country project budgets and funds.
• Ensure increased reliability of financial systems and effective contribution to risk mitigation.
• Implement financial policies and procedures and participate in the development of budget proposals
• Oversee financial audits and ensure appropriate filing and backup of all financial records.
• Input into the strategy for the monitoring and reporting of External Financial Reporting key risk (FRKR), ensure independence and appropriate business engagement.
• Responsible for audits of federal and state income tax, including state and local filings.
• In country Partner and firm tax compliance, working directly with Africa Finance Tax Lead.
• Country management information including monthly management reporting, budgeting and forecasting - working with management reporting team and Los Finance Leads.

Key Competencies and Attributes
• Expert knowledge of financial planning, strategy development and of financial modelling and analysis.
• Expert knowledge of profitability management, tax planning and treasury management
• Ability to apply best practice data (revenue cost and operations) to dedicated business areas and assist local implementation to drive Efficiency.
• Attention to detail, preciseness in the execution of tasks and solution oriented approach are essential skills.
• Advanced financial professional, with strong experience in Finance and full understanding of the core finance, business processes and accounting.
• Expert knowledge of IFRS and GAAP.

Qualification & Experience
• Minimum of 12 years cognate experience, 8 of which must have been in a Management position in a professional services environment, with evidence of regular engagement with Executive Leadership.
• Minimum of first degree (Hons) in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline and/or relevant professional certifications e.g. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Association of Certified and Chartered Accountants (ACCA), or its equivalent is required.
