JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
• At Chengelo we have a vision to not only develop a first class SEN provision in our own school but to also set up a programme to train and equip others to meet a huge need in this area in Zambia.
• We are looking for an outstanding and strategic practitioner to lead the SEN provision in the school; to create, deliver and oversee the effective implementation of a SEN framework into teaching and in the fullness of time develop a training programme for those with a heart for students with special educational needs.

Qualifications, Training & Experience:
• Qualified teacher status is essential for this role.
• Experience, knowledge and understanding of SEN within a school setting.
• An in-depth knowledge of diagnostic tools, analysis of results, setting IEP’s and targets and strategies of support.
• An understanding of recent developments in SEN including meeting the needs of those with learning disabilities.
• Experience of strategic leadership.
• Experience working with/ teaching diverse groups/ diverse students
• Experience of staff training.

• Understand and support the Christian ethos of our School, including the spiritual development of the pupils and the school’s role within the community.
• Evidence of working effectively with the Head teacher, staff and parents.

• Demonstrate success in promoting the general progress and well-being of pupils and providing guidance and advice.
