JOB DETAILS:

Duties/Responsibilities;
1. Cleaning guestrooms mid-stay and after departure
2. Making beds as per Lodge Standard
3. Inspect and turn mattresses regularly.
4. Cleaning corridors, lobbies as well as stairways.
5. Replacing dirty linens and towels
6. Restocking guest room amenities like toiletries, drinking glasses etc.
7. Removing garbage, recycling, and room service trays
8. Picking up and returning valet laundry items
9. Organizing and stocking housekeeping carts
10. Notifying the maintenance department about broken appliances, glasses, old light bulbs, or damage
11. Upholding the Lodge’s confidentiality and security standards
12. Respecting “do not disturb” signs and the guest’s privacy
13. Check all appliances in rooms are in working order
14. Realign furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
15. Respond to guest queries and requests
16. Respond to calls for housekeeping problems such as spills, broken glasses
17. Deliver any requested housekeeping items to guest rooms
18. Remove room service items
19. Observe and report damage of Lodge property

Knowledge and Experience
1. Grade twelve school certificate
2. Certificate/ Diploma in General hospitality
3. Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods
4. Knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
5. Working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
6. Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
7. Ability to lift, push and pull required load (usually about 30lbs)
