JOB DETAILS:
A consortium of four historically black colleges and universities (HBCU) (Howard, Meharry, Morehouse and Charles Drew) in the United States of America are working to support four high volume first level hospitals in Lusaka, Zambia (Matero, Chilenje, Kanyama and Chawama). The HBCU global health consortium project is designed to transform clinical HIV Practice to provide high quality, comprehensive, inter-professional care and treatment to people living with HIV.
The HR and finance administrator will work on the ground, providing financial and administrative support to the implementation of differentiated models of HIV service delivery in Lusaka to help alleviate congestion and improve quality of ART care in high volume HIV treatment site. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Being the first point of contact for employees on any HR related queries
• Assisting with payroll by providing the department with relevant employee information, i.e. holiday and sick days taken
• Helping with various arrangements internally, from travel to processing expenses
• Maintaining and updating employee records
• Keep accurate records for all daily financial transactions
• Prepare balance sheets
• Source and Process invoices
• Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Update financial data
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
• Reconcile bank statements
• Participate in financial audits
• Track bank deposits and payments
• Assist with budget preparation
• Review and implement procurement policies
• Perform any other duties as assigned by the DSD program manager
Job Skills:
• Proven work experience as a HR and Finance Officer or similar role
• Solid knowledge of HR, financial and accounting procedures
• Experience using financial software
• Advanced MS Excel skills
• Knowledge of HR and financial regulations
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills
• Sharp time management skills
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
• BSc degree in HR, Finance, Accounting or Economics
