JOB DETAILS:
The Zambia Credit Guarantee Scheme (ZCGS) is wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The mandate of ZCGS is to provide credit guarantees to viable Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), in order to facilitate their access to affordable financing. To realize its mission and mandate, ZCGS wishes to invite highly self – motivated, result – oriented, suitably qualified and experienced Zambian nationals to fill the following vacant position:
Information Communication Technology Officer – 1 Position

Job Purpose
The position reports to Manager – Finance and is responsible for undertaking the installation and maintenance of Information, Communication and Technology infrastructure and systems in order to facilitate smooth operations of the institution.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Key Result Area Principle Accountabilities (Main Duties)
• Policy Development of Information Technology related policies in order to guide operations.
• Network Management Configuration and maintenance of a secure network and communication system in order to ensure network and communication services availability.
• Hardware and Software Acquisition, installation, configuration, upgrading and maintenance of ICT hardware and software in order to meet end – user requirements.
• Systems Security Provision of ICT systems security in order to safeguard the integrity of the Institution’s data and prevent unauthorized access.
• Backup Setting and maintaining a Backup system in order to ensure business continuity.
• Website Management Undertakes effectively the management of the institution’s website in order to make information available to public and facilitate easy access to e-services
• Database Management System Administration of database systems and documentation in order to ensure highest levels of data security, integrity and availability.
• Internet Timely facilitation of internet connectivity in order to enhance efficient operations.
• ICT Support Services Provision of information communication technology support services for the Scheme in order to resolve end – user issues.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Full Form V/Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Must have industry relevant certifications
• Must be a Member of Information Technology Society of Zambia
• Six (06) years ‘proven relevant work experience

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships, work independently and demonstrate initiative
• Ability to make decisions and systematically resolve problems
• Ability to understand, trouble shoot and resolve IT related issues
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in software and hardware maintenance.
