Invitation to Prequalification FQM Zambia fuel Supply at FQM Trident Limited
BACKGROUND

FQM Trident Limited ("FQMT"), Kansanshi Mining PLC ("KMP"), and First Quantum Mining and Operations Limited ("FQMO") are all subsidiaries of First Quantum Minerals Ltd and operate mining operations in Zambia (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Companies" or "FQM Zambia").
FOMT is a mining company (formerly Kalumbila Minerals Limited), located in Kalumbila, about 160km west of Solwezi's Central Business District (CBD), along Solwezi-Mwinilunga (T5) road in North-Western Province. FQMT's Sentinel Mine operates a modern fleet of heavy ultra-class trucks in its mining operations and uses in excess of 105,000 m3 per annum of low sulphur gasoil (50ppm maximum).
KMP and FOMO operate the Kansanshi Mine which is located within Solwezi town. KMP is the owner of the mine while FQMO is a mining operator. As part of the mining operations at Kansanshi Mine, the two companies together utilise approximately 120,000 m3 of low sulphur gasoil (50ppm maximum) per annum.
FQM Zambia has various fuel storage facilities at its mine sites, where gasoil/ diesel is generally held on consignment stock basis by suppliers, and takes delivery of fuel once it is dispensed from those storage facilities into its various equipment.
INVITATION
FQM Zambia has various fuel supply contracts that are coming to an end on 31st March 2023. FQM Zambia will conduct a tender for the supply of its fuel requirements. The process will be in two stages; the prequalification and the main tender. The first stage is a pre-qualification where all interested persons can register their interest in supplying fuel to FQM Zambia.
Once interested parties have registered interest and submitted documents showing their qualification/ability to supply FQM Zambia's fuel needs, FQM Zambia will conduct an objective assessment of the submissions following which only the top shortlisted parties will be invited to participate in the formal tender process. The formal tender process will be for the supply of up to 225,000 m3 per annum of low sulphur gasoil which quantity may be split into several portions as determined by FQM Zambia from time to time.
Accordingly, FQM Zambia is hereby inviting all interested parties to submit prequalification documents for possible participation in a subsequent tender for the supply of low sulphur gasoil (50ppm maximum).

Upon successfully uploading the documents to the prequalification, the participants shall be emailed a unique reference number together with a summary of the content and answers provided in their submission. Additionally, please note that the submission window and browser screen cannot be closed during the submission process, so please ensure that all documents are available before commencing the application process. Further, please ensure that all documents submitted are in PDF format
