Job Summary
IA is seeking a motivated and skilled Livestock Extension Officer for Western Province. The company therefore invites applications from suitable qualified candidates to fill the position of Livestock Extension Officer

Responsibilities
• Provide husbandry extension
• Carry out herd health practices including vaccinations
• Train farmers in animal husbandry
• Register farmers on digital platform
• Monitor and Evaluation
• Undertaking any other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications
• Full grade 12 certificate
• A candidate with a Diploma or Degree in Veterinary Medicine or Agriculture is preferable, but candidates with more than 3 years’ work experience will also be considered.
• Must be computer literate with better skills in MS applications i.e., Excel, Word, Power point
• Mature and responsible individual
• Speak, read and write in Lozi and English

Other Skills
• Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good communicator, able to work in a multi-cultural environment
• Stable personality with passion for livestock and farmers
• Team player able to work with minimum supervision
• Leadership and managerial skills
• Fast leaner and easy to adapt to new environments

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: Postgraduate Degree
