Job Description:
• Our client is a Long Term Mine Planner to lead and manage their entire long term mine plan. This position is based in Abu Dhabi. The incumbent will be tasked with executing pit optimization, final pit mine designs, life-of-mine scheduling, and providing detailed plans to support short-term mine planning.

Responsibilities:
• Execute pit optimisations and final pit mine designs in MineSight, NPV Scheduler or similar packages;
• Execute life-of-mine scheduling and design;
• Providing detailed mine plans and schedules to support the short-term mine planning of the iron ore mine.
• Mine planning will include multi pit mining and multi element blending from two separate mining areas;
• Execute technical studies regarding optimization of the mine fleet and mine scheduling;
• Work closely to the geology/operations departments or contractors on a monthly basis to ensure mine planning schedules are achieved
• Liaising closely with both the geology team, surveying team and operations team;
• Execution of mine designs to be used in the preparation of operating budgets;
• Propose alternative locations for the implementation of processing facilities like crushers, crushing & screening facilities

Requirements: Qualification and Skill
• Certified Mining Professional / Mine Engineer
• 10 years of experience in Mine Planning
• Underground experience / Open Pit would be beneficial
• Position is based in Abu Dhabi
