JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary
A mature, responsible candidate to ensure the grounds, specific projects, facility maintenance (both plumbing and electrical state) and other duties are carried out as assigned to him by the Operations Manager

Main Duties/Responsibilities:
• To ensure the facility maintenance checklists are well documented
• To draft and present weekly work schedules to the operations manager
• To ensure the grounds are well maintained by assigning duties to the grounds team
• To ensure the plumber Clears the drainage systems around the hospital
• Ensure all areas around the facility are easily accessing water and electricity by the users
• Maintain the sewer/electricity backup system in good order
• To assist with electrical skillset in general construction work which may take place on the hospital premises
• To ensure the hospital RO system is in good working condition all the time
• To ensure the fat traps are well maintained and all manholes are frequently serviced
• To carryout hospital rounds to assess the electrical and plumbing state of the facility and take note of any damages before carrying out remedial works
• Ensure the facility is well maintained and all damages are reported to the facility manager

Other Duties
• To be involved with hospital visitors in specific projects such as and construction in certain parts of the hospital
• To ensure all necessary plumbing equipment and tools are available to the visitors beforehand
• To ensure the safety of visitors
• To ensure general tiding up of the areas during and after all hospital projects
• To maintain the hospital water tanks and boreholes/submersible pumps
• To keep track of all Sewer Maintenance schedules
• To ensure the accessibility of clean water to all personnel on the facility
• To ensure the hospital electricity supply and all backup systems are in good working conditions all the time
• Ensure fuel levels in the generators are above recommended levels
• Be an emergency respondent person any time
• Ensure the fire alarm systems are in good condition well serviced and maintained
• Ensure the horse reels/fire extinguishers are serviced
• Ensure all maintenance tools/

Skills/Abilities:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed. Ability to plan maintenance schedules for the entire system. Must provide Excellent management supervisory skills.

Qualifications:
i) Grade 12 School Certificate
ii) Diploma in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics or its equivalent
iii) Professional valid Certification from Engineers Professional Council of Zambia
