JOB DETAILS:
The position shall report to the Manager, Project.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Full grade twelve (12) certificate
• College or University Diploma in mechanical engineering or related field or better from a recognized Institution
• Must be a member of Engineering Institute of Zambia

EXPERIENCE
• Minimum experience of 7 years as a supervisor and 3 years’ experience as a Maintenance Manager or equivalent
• Must have proven working experience on Sino Trucks
• Must have proven working experience on graders, excavators, dozers, ADTs, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee repairs for all the company fleet of tippers, ADTs, excavators, dozers, graders, compactors, light vehicles, etc.
• Design maintenance policies and procedures
• Prepare workshop budgets and track the budgets and expenses
• Oversee the inspections of equipment to find problems and make necessary repairs
• Schedule maintenance tasks
• Supervise maintenance employees
• Oversee the response to maintenance emergencies
• Monitor equipment reliability and effectiveness
• Ensure that commonly used spare parts are available at all times
• Drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics
• Several other functions as advised by the supervisor

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must have working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
• Must have technical and non-technical skills
• Must be able to cope with pressure
• Must be ready to work outside working hours
• Must be Computer Literate
• Holder of a clean and valid driver’s license
