JOB DETAILS:
The Road Development Agency is a statutory organization whose function is to plan, manage and coordinate the road network in the country. The Agency is responsible for planning, care, maintenance and construction of public roads in Zambia. It also regulates the maximum permissible weights on roads, conducts studies for the development, maintenance and improvement of the road network, and reviews design standards and classification,
In order to implement this mandate the Road development Agency now wishes to fill up the vacant position as follows:
1. MANAGER - COMMERCIAL AND INVESTMENTS SERVICES (1 POSITION) Head
Office
Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Director Commercial & Technical Services, the Manager - Commercial and Investments Services shall be responsible for business development, credit control, revenue generation and collection, and Agency asset leasing and profitability. .
Job Responsibilities:
• Identifying and developing business opportunities within the potential and actual revenue streams of the Agency;
• Controlling specific sections of the accounts within the sales ledger and purchase ledger;
• Facilitating a high level of cash flows and minimizing levels of overdue debt;
• Collection of cash and resolution of account queries to specific time-skills;
• Achieving the monthly cash collection targets set for specific sections of accounts;
• Ensuring that appropriate contact is made at the earliest possible stage on overdue debt, in accordance with the credit control timetable;
• Answering queries and enquiring from customers within the specific accounts section;
• Ensuring that payments are correctly allocated to the appropriate account against appropriate invoices;
• Provide input in review of legal framework on Road Tolling; and
• Monitoring of commercial performance objectives of the National Road Tolling Program
• (NRTP).

Job Qualifications:
• Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate;
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management,
• Economics, or Commerce;
• Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, or Commerce;
• Minimum 5 years' working experience; Experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) an added advantage;
• Member of an appropriate professional body; and
• Must have a valid driver's license.
