JOB DETAILS:
Our Client, a renowned Insurance Company seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill up the following position
MANAGER TECHNICAL & COMPLIANCE
Reports to: Assistant Director Risk Management
JOB PURPOSE
To provide efficient, effective and timely technical and compliance services to the Company in order to enable Management to take informed decisions for the growth and profitability of the Company. .
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Designs & implements Compliance Framework;
• Sustains a Compliance culture & awareness in the Company
• Develops the Compliance Risk Management Plans
• Participates & where appropriate leads in the development implementation and evaluation of strategic plans, business plans, operational policies & procedures for the Company
• Maintains a working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice and ensures these are adhered to by advising Management on compliance laws, regulations, rules and standards
• Ensures that appropriate business performance information is available to report on performance against business objectives and financial targets
• Establishes & maintains strong working relationships with brokers and agents
• Liaises with ICT department to make effective use of IT to set up data collection systems relating to policy
• Establishes a documented risk based compliance program outlining the planned activities and how these will reduce compliance
• Identifies and assesses the Compliance risks associated with the Company's business activities
• Prepares monthly reports on levels of compliance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Relevant University Degree or equivalent
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in Risk Management
• Excellent Communication & presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Team player
