JOB DETAILS:
Mechanic / Ulendo Driver
Overview
A reliable Mechanic / Ulendo driver with at least a certificate in mechanics is needed.
Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, the Mechanic cum Ulendo Driver will perform the following key tasks:
1. inspecting all vehicles at the beginning and end of the day to ensure they are in good condition
2. Report all malfunction, potential malfunction, or bodily damage to the Fleet Supervisor
3. Repair all mechanical problems that may arise on any vehicle in the fleet and make recommendations should there be need for external repairs
4. Routinely service all vehicles appropriately
5. Work as an Ulendo Driver when not repairing or servicing vehicles
6. Adhere to all regulations
Interested applicants should meet the following minimum criteria:
1. G12 Certificate
2. Certificate in auto mechanics or related field
3. Experience is repairing and servicing both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
4. Ability to drive a manual transmission car is a must
5. Already registered on Ulendo would be an advantage but not required
6. Able to use initiative and work as an Ulendo driver with minimum supervision
7. Trust worthy with traceable contacts and a fixed abode
8. Able to supervise other drivers
9. Available to start immediately
10. Resident of Lusaka
