Job Overview:
We are currently seeking to hire an experienced and talented Mechanic-Driver to join our growing team. The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting physical repairs and maintenance of the entire fleet of company vehicles, prepare maintenance schedules and reports for the fleet in conjunction with the Logistics Officer.
Assume the role of driver and make product deliveries to and from suppliers, shops or any designated pick up area to the warehouse.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Work hand in hand with the Logistics Officer in ensuring that Company Motor Vehicles are always in good and safe working conditions.
• Carry out regular motor vehicle service maintenance.
• Carry out motor vehicle repairs as requested by the logistics department.
• Help in recommending good quality spare parts/kits needed for motor vehicle repairs.
• Ensure all vehicles are road worthy.
• Assist the logistics officer in preparing the weekly and monthly motor vehicle maintenance reports.
• Report all mechanical problems to the logistics department to ensure all vehicle problems are sorted out.
• Verify delivery notes with physical quantities before and after delivery to ensure that they are complete.
• Ensure all delivery notes and dispatch notes are signed before goods are collected and check that quantities collected match DN and INV.
• Loading, transporting, and delivering of products from the warehouse to the shops and warehouse customers.
• Loading, transporting, and delivering of products from suppliers, shops or any designated pick up area to the warehouse.
• Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles.
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules.
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record and service record.
• Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
• Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks.
• Ensuring that all road Tax, Insurance and Fitness are valid.

Qualifications
• Valid Driver’s License minimum class B (Class C will be added advantage).
• Minimum Certificate in General Mechanics or TEVETA equivalent
• Atleast 3 years’ work experience as a mechanic and or driver
• Valid Police clearance report atleast within 6 months
• Good verbal and written communication skills
