Job Description
Media Production Officer – Zra07 (1 Position) – Commissioner General’s Office
A. Purpose
Reporting to the Corporate Communications Manager – the job holder will be responsible for lead the authority’s Communications efforts using new media and digital tools. The Digital Media Officer (DMO) will help create mutual relationships with various stakeholders and target publics for the Authority using a broad range of communications tools on digital platforms.
Responsibility:
B. MAIN DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Operating professional cameras (Video and photo cameras) and covering ZRA events in terms of videography and photography;
2. Producing both audio and/ or audio-visual materials;
3. Conducting professional editing of ZRA programs on TV/Radio or any other broadcast channels
4. Assisting in branding activities and digital communications of ZRA;
5. Preparing audios and videos for social media use and producing materials for websites and TV including short documentaries, interviews, animation, coverage, etc;
6. Managing all ZRA publicity materials such as spot publicity on Radio, TV, other Digital platforms and
7. Preparing meetings and live TV/Radio programmes for taxpayer education;
8. Conducting media monitoring, producing reports and cultivating healthy media relations;
9. Updating ZRA media database/gallery on a regular basis; and
10. Assisting in organizing press conferences and other events.C.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Grade Twelve School Certificate or General Certificate of Education (GCE) Equivalent with five (5) Credits or better;
2. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media Production, Visual Arts, or related field preferred;
3. Very good broadcast and multimedia skills;
4. Minimum of two (2) years post qualifying relevant work experience required of working on or delivering digital marketing/communications campaigns; and
5. Skills and experience using video editing software.
