Modern Trade Expansion Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
To formulate Sales strategies to (a) drive topline growth in domestic as well as export market and prepare innovative plans to achieve higher value realization (b) for brand management, evaluation and market promotion strategies for various existing new products and aligned commodities
Main tasks include:
• Planning, formulating and implementing sales strategies to increase market penetration and to drive revenue & EBIDTA growth
• Establishing network of dealers, sub-dealers, CFAS & promoting agents across markets in Zambia
• Designing distribution strategy to achieve segment-wise targeted sales volumes, state & city-wise market shares, teach, and coverage objectives
• Proactively identifying changes in market demand and modifying strategies for expansion of market share & achievement of primary & secondary targets
• Identifying & targeting new business opportunities and continuously expanding the existing clientele chase through sales promotional activities
• Optimizing channel functions & flows, direct & indirect channel partner’s counter-wise targets, all-monthly channel partner’s incentives & payouts, maintaining price equalization across all dealer networks local and internationally
• Ensuring optimum inventory levels with dealers to meet market requirements
• Managing ATL/BTL activities and channel wise NPI placement, coordinating brand display & merchandising through the promoters
• Providing overall direction to business growth at nation & international level, creating operating budgets and ensuring optimal utilization of available funds
• Monitoring branch impress accounts and ensuring timely reporting (Stocks Agting Report Collection Ageing Report & Branch Mentor’s Report: replying to auditors’ queries
• Reviewing sales & other performance data to measure productivity, administering legal issues with legal team and managing company assets
• Other duties may be as they arise and as required by the business
Requirements
• Degree Master Degree in Commerce, Sales & Marketing or an equivalent business qualification
• At least 20 years’ work experience in managing sales operations, distribution management and developing & managing channel networks in FMCG sector
Operational Requirements:
Understanding of geography preferred, Multi-geography exposure preferred. Experience in GT, Channel & MT Channel Experience in Strategy as well as Delivery based roles Experience in Leading change, Meeting sales targets & objectives, Market share growth Strengthening & expanding distribution network, Identification & development of new markets. Implementation of initiatives and Sales & Marketing strategies, Retail strategy, Modem Trade, Institutional Sales Establish CRM tools and systems Relationship building & Customer Satisfaction with key accounts Distributors Retailers. Cost Optimization in retail traditional trade operations
