JOB DETAILS:
We are a UK-based Emerging Markets focused financial news and research platform seeking news reporters.
This is an exciting entry level position for someone with a passion for news reporting and is interested in business and finance.
The role would suit an existing news reporter that is looking to branch into financial journalism.
Recent graduates in Journalism, English, Literature or Mass Communications will also be considered. This role will be based in our Zambia office.

Responsibilities
• Writing high quality news copy to tight deadlines
• Ensuring editorial calendar and deadlines are adhered to
• Supporting the production of magazines, reports, videos and events
• Dealing with editorial administrative work#
• Organising and researching projects to tight deadlines
• Correcting written copy and summarising material
• Obtaining rights to use materials from other publications
• Filing, mailing, photocopying and other routine administrative tasks
• Managing news production cycles
Working to daily and weekly news deadlines

Requirements
• A degree in either English, Literature, Journalism or Mass Communications
• Previous writing experience is desired
• Hardworking, with professional attitude
• Evidence of ability to work to tight deadlines
• Previous business writing experience preferred but not required
• Excellent written and spoken English
• A keen interest in business and finance
• Evidence of published news stories
• A high level of numeracy, with ability to work with data
• Enthusiasm, initiative, interpersonal skills, self-motivation and flexibility
• Attention to detail and ability to proofread
• Time management skills, with ability to keep to tight deadlines
