JOB DETAILS:
NAPSA Hospitality Investments Limited (NHIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) that was created to oversee NAPSA's direct investments in the hospitality sector. The Company currently oversees the operations of the following hotels:
1. Stay Easy Lusaka ("StayEasy")
2. Garden Court Kitwe Hotel ("Garden Court)
3. Hilton Garden Inn Hotel ("Hilton")
4. Radisson Blu Mosi-oa-Tunya Livingstone Resort ("Radisson Blu")
NHIL is inviting competent, innovate and suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position to be based in Lusaka on a fixed term contract.
1. Job Purpose
Operations Manager X1
Overseeing and optimizing all operational functions within the company. coordinating and improving processes, managing resources, ensuring that the company meets its operational goals and operates in line with NHIL policies and procedures.
2. Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement the NHII. strategies, ensuring that all activities are aligned with the parent company's business objectives to achieve the overall investment strategic objectives on subsidiaries in the hospitality sector.
• Develop the company budget and work plan to ensure sufficient allocation of critical resources for the implementation of key activities to meet the set timelines and quality standards, and to ensure the team is provided with overall support in implementation.
• Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure availability of guidelines that support the implementation of the strategy within set timelines and quality standards, and to enhance compliance with regulations and laws. Monitor compliance with the relevant regulations and laws on treasury and investments management and the hospitality sector, to ensure minimal exposure to risks associated with noncompliance and inform the Board accordingly.
• Review and adhere to all management agreements with related parties and provide necessary amendments when the need arises.
• Ensure all entities under NHII.'s umbrella adhere to the respective management agreements and submit all relevant monthly and quarterly performance reports to feed into the company's overall operations quarterly and monthly reports. Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly operations reports as well as management accounts to the parent company.
• Ensure company performance objective setting, appraisals, coaching, and preparation of training needs of all members of staff, for enhanced staff motivation and work performance improvement.
• Monitor the performance of investments in line with the Boards strategic direction, to identify gaps in performance in order for the Board to develop appropriate interventions to correct the gaps
• Facilitate both internal and external audits to ensure the company is fully audited in line with the set out NHIL policies and procedures, and in compliance with the audit laws and regulations.
o Oversee reconciliations to ensure the financial information on expenditure is accurate and complete at all times
• Coordinate investment placement of excess funds to ensure investments are done in a timely manner, and in line with the NHIL policies and procedures
3. Qualifications and Experience
• Grade 12 Certificate with 5 'O' levels with credit or better in Mathematics and English
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent (Master's degree added advantage)
• Must have full ACCA/CIMA/CA Zambia

5. Relevant Experience
• Minimum ten (10) years work experience with at least 5 years at Management level. Management experience in the hospitality sector will be an added advantage,
