JOB DETAILS:

Responsibilities
1. Source suppliers and obtain quotations/request for proposals from the suppliers.
2. Communicating with customers about order status, answering questions about products and services, and resolving issues
3. Preparing purchase orders
4. Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
5. Negotiating price changes with suppliers when costs fluctuate significantly
6. Follow up orders and delivery of purchases with the suppliers ensuring the delivery of goods to the agreed locations
7. Keeping records of orders placed and shipments received, updating inventory levels based on these records
8. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations regarding purchasing procedures and best practices
9. Coordinating with other departments within the company for the purchase of specialized materials or equipment.

Qualification and Experience
1. Diploma in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management
2. Must be a member of ZIPS.
3. 3 years proven work experience as a procurement officer from a reputable organization.
4. Good knowledge in Excel and SAP procurement module
5. Ability to work as a member of team and independently under pressure
6. High standard of accuracy and good attention to detail is required
7. Must be ethical.
