Your mission
• As the Regional Digital Business Line Manager for Epiroc East and Central Africa (ECA) Region, your mission will be to act as a catalyst to establish Epiroc as the top leading global technology partner in the ECA Region. The focus is on maximizing efficiency and providing exceptional support to both internal and external stakeholders to maintain Epiroc’s position as a top technology partner in the ECA Region

What are the main tasks and responsibilities of this job?

• Maximizing Share of spend and profitability by ensuring the successful implementation and customer support for the Digital Solutions Portfolio, aiming to increase the company’s market share and profitability.
• Strengthening the product and application knowledge within sales teams to effectively communicate the value of Epiroc Digital Solutions to customers, making the manager a sales enabler.
• Designing and leading a team of technology specialists tailored to meet the unique needs of customers and markets within the ECA Region and ensuring optimal deployment of digital solutions.
• Ensuring alignment between Epiroc Digital Solutions Division and the ECA Regional leadership teams on strategic priorities and managing joint objectives, aiming to deploy the Digital Solutions Portfolio timely and meeting customer needs and financial expectations.
• Identifying and prioritizing scalable digital solutions that complement the overall digital strategy in ECA Region.
• Developing territory management strategies and target development plans for all business units in the ECA Region, including revenue and profitability targets and performance management plans for the sales team.
• Taking ownership of the ECA Regional budget for Digital Solutions, reporting, analyzing financial data, optimizing expenses, and managing headcount. Running the Division as both a profit center (digital) and a cost center (automation projects).
• Lead the Digital product pricing model and strategy, focusing on delivering value to customers while ensuring additional revenue and profit streams for Epiroc. Actively participating in the development and negotiation of tenders.

What critical competences, skills and experience is required for a candidate to be successful in this position?
Experience requirements
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in mining-related industries, with knowledge of software-related business models for mining industry segments
• Proven experience in driving digital development for complex global organizations, ideally in a B2B environment (Process, Energy, software, technology, automation)
• High level of business acumen with an understanding of commercial initiatives, particularly managing costs, and budgets, market validation with experience bringing products to market. SaaS experience is highly preferred.
• Proven track record in growing business and business development in related industries for SaaS-related solutions.
• Strong comprehension of basic and intermediary financial statements and calculations
• Strong understanding of commercial documentation/contracts is an asset.
• Experience in production and mining industries/environments is an asset.
• Direct sales or commercial experience in digital solutions is considered an asset.
• Experience working in complex, interdisciplinary, cross-functional, and global teams.
• Familiarity with Epiroc’s digital solutions and/or competitor digital solutions is an asset.

Knowledge / Education
• Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, or similar advantage. Master of Business Administration degree or equivalent product management advanced degree preferred.
