JOB DETAILS:
• Lilato is a pilot social enterprise under the Amila Initiative, which has a two-fold mission: 1) We make and sell freshly baked granola cereal, granola bars, and other healthy snacks to support the health journey of health-conscious individuals. 2) We aim to provide transitional employment for the women and youth in the Amila Initiative programs while we work with them on their journey to becoming independent and self-sufficient individuals.
• Our organization is looking for a part-time sales representative to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients.
• In order to be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics, and also superb interpersonal skills. Previous experience in a sales role is an advantage. As a social enterprise, our social mission is a priority and it is important that anyone who wishes to take this job has a heart specifically to work with the most vulnerable women and youth in our society. They are the very reason why we do what we do.
Sales Representative Responsibilities:
• Understanding and promoting company products.
• Generating leads.
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals.
• Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective clients.
• Preparing and submitting sales contracts/agreements for wholesale orders.
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports.
• Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs.
• Obtaining payments from clients.
• Visiting clients and potential clients to evaluate needs or promote products and services.
• Answering client questions about products, prices, and availability.
• Maintaining client records.
Sales Representative Requirements:
• Have a passion to serve the most marginalized in our society.
• Relevant qualification (Certificate, Diploma, or Degree) in business, marketing, economics, or related field.
• Experience in sales.
• Understanding of the sales process and dynamics.
• A commitment to excellent customer service.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers and suppliers.
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, and Excel.
• Self-motivated and able to work and produce results with minimal supervision.
