About Us
The Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) a body corporate and responsible for regulation of public procurement in Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment into ZPPA’s establishment for the following positions:
Job Title: Senior Officer-Procurement Pricing, ZPPA 05 (1 Position)
Purpose
To assist in the development of the Authority Price Index to be used by procuring entities for procurement of standard goods, services and works and other related procurements.
Statement Of Main Duties
• Undertake research on prices of goods from manufacturers, middle distributors and retailers and cost of services, works and other related needs;

• Analyze the cost of goods, services, works and other related products and project costs based on market performance;
• Prepare and compile monthly, quarterly and yearly indexes for all standard procured goods, services and works and upon approval, upload the same on the Authority website;
• Conducts capacity building interventions to sensitize practitioners in public sector procuring entities and other stakeholders on the benchmarking price system;
• In consultation with superior, engage in activities for continuous improvement, sustainability of the benchmarking procurement system; and
• Performs other lawful duties assigned by superior from time to time.

Qualifications And Experience
1. Education: Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) credits or better.
2. Vocational or Professional Requirements: Candidates should have any of the following;
1. Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, or Demography, or Statistics, or Mathematics or Actuarial Science;
2. Being in possession of a Diploma in Purchasing and Supply or related field such as Commerce, Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Materials Management will be added advantage.
3. Relevant Post Qualification Experience: Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a related field such as Purchasing and Supply, Commerce, Supply Chain Management and Logistics, Purchasing and Materials Management.

Other Skills And Requirements
1. Good writing and oral communication skills;
2. Computational and analysis skills; and
3. Current affiliation to a Professional body will be added advantage.
Tenure
The position of the Senior Officer-Procurement Pricing is on permanent and pensionable basis.
