JOB DETAILS:
The Zambia Credit Guarantee Scheme (ZCGS) is wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Zambia. The mandate of ZCGS is to provide credit guarantees to viable Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (MSMEs), in order to facilitate their access to affordable financing. To realize its mission and mandate, ZCGS wishes to invite highly self – motivated, result – oriented, suitably qualified and experienced Zambian nationals to fill the following vacant position:
Senior Procurement Officer – 1 Position Salary Scale – ZCGS/05

Job Purpose
The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible for undertaking the procurement of goods, services and works in order to facilitate availability, storage, distribution and enhance smooth operations of the scheme.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Key Result Area Principle Accountabilities (Main Duties)
• Procurement Plan Development and implementation of the procurement plan in order to guide the procurement process and facilitate decision making.
• Secretariat Services Provision of secretarial services to the company’s procurement committee
• Solicitation Documents Undertakes timely and accurately the preparation of solicitation documents in order to ensure transparency in tender procedures and facilitate compliance with the procurement Act.
• Procurement Timely procurement of goods, services and works in order to meet end user requirements.
• Contract Management Management of procurement contracts in order to ensure compliance with contractual obligations
• Policy Development, review and implementation of internal Procurement related policies in order to guide operations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Full Form V/Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent
• Member of Zambia Institute of Purchasing and Supply
• Six (06) years ‘proven relevant work experience.
