JOB DETAILS:
• Project Title: Monitoring of Output and Performance-Based Road Contract (OPRC) Package 19 (Chongwe, Rufunsa and Luangwa Districts) and Package 20 (Chilanga, Kafue and Chirundu Districts) in Lusaka Province – RDA/CS/OIS/001/023; Funded by World Bank

• Eligibility Criteria: He/She shall have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Highway or Civil Engineering (Any higher qualifications in a relevant field will be an added advantage) with a minimum of Fifteen (15) years’ experience in road construction contract management with at least two years responsible for monitoring the implementation of performance-based contracts. He/She shall be a registered member of a recognized professional body such as Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) and registered to practice by an appropriate body such as the Engineering Registration Board (Eng.R.B) or an equivalent professional body.
• He/She shall have at least Eight (08) years’ experience in carrying out engineering designs and supervision of road construction projects. He/She shall have relevant experience including a working knowledge of the disciplines involved in such studies (in particular alignment design, pavement design and materials investigation, cost engineering and safety issues) as well as experience in managing project design for similar assignments based on SATCC, particularly in coordinating a multidisciplinary team of experts.
• He/she will also be familiar with FIDIC and/or other internationally recognized forms of Contract procedures and administration. He/She should have at least Five (5) years’ experience in road construction works in developing countries, preferably in Southern Africa. Experience in Zambia will be an added advantage. He/she shall have a good command of the English language.
