Duty Station: Within Zambia, Lusaka, South-Central Africa
Position Summary:
The Technical Application Specialist is responsible for delivery of customer operator training and coaching end users to leverage the medical and laboratory diagnostics equipment to its full potential, installation, and configuration of equipment, and providing on-site implementation, application support, and troubleshooting.

Required Competencies:
• Perform on-site assay investigation, troubleshooting and operator end user training and coaching.
• Designs, conducts, and leads advanced validation/verification studies; provides technical leadership. Lead multi-site/multi-instrument integrations for equipment and reagents into customer sites.
• Establishes criteria and technical standards for excellence, anticipates, recognizes and resolves technical problems; identifies new directions for validation and verifications. Work with implementation project managers as technical lead to execute project plan across customer systems.
• Assist customers with meeting their regulatory and validation requirements. Provide appropriate training for the customer on the newly installed instruments. Manage the integration process to meet customer expectations and timeline. Perform troubleshooting on issues related to reagent or instrument performance designed to improve customer self-sufficiency.
• Responsible for identifying and communicating critical gaps and recommend potential improvements to cross-functional work processes.

Education and Experience Background:
• Diploma in Biomedical Science and valid membership with Biomedical Society of Zambia
• A full Grade 12 School Certificate with at-least 5 credits including Mathematics and English.
• At least two to three years' work experience in a busy, challenging environment Good team player, flexible and capable of working with a multinational country team
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational and management skills
• Excellent written and spoken English, communication and training skills
