INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB)

MOE/PSU/OB/G/01/2021: TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF 636,000M³ OF DIESEL AND 288,000M³ OF UNLEADED PETROL

Background:
The Government of the Republic of Zambia through the Ministry of Energy intends to procure 636,000M³ of Diesel and 288,000M³ of unleaded Petrol and will use part of the proceeds from the sale of the Finished Petroleum Products for the payment under the contracts.

The Ministry of Energy now invites sealed bids from eligible firms for the tender for the supply and Delivery of 636,000m' of diesel and 288,000m³ of unleaded petrol.

Bidding will be conducted through the open bidding procedures as specified in the Zambia Public Procurement Act 2020 and its Regulations of 2011.

Bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding document from the office of the Head of Procurement and Supplies Unit at the Ministry of Energy Head Quarters, 14th Floor, Room 15/16, New Government Complex, and Nasser Road, Lusaka. All international bids must be accompanied by a bid security of not less than 2% of the total bid price from a recognized commercial bank and duly signed and sealed by the guarantor guarantees). All local Bidders will submit a bid securing declaration

A complete set of bidding documents in ENGLISH may be purchased by bidders at the address provided above upon payment of a non-refundable fee of K5,000.00 or its equivalent in any freely convertible currency

Submission Procedure

The bids must be appropriately sealed, bound and clearly and boldly labeled "TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF 636,000m³ DISEAL AND 288,000m³ UNLEADED PETROL”. The bids shall be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the foyer of the Ministry of Energy, 14 floor New Government Complex, Nasser Road, Lusaka, Zambia on or before Tuesday, 29th June 2021 at 10:30hrs local time

The closing date for the receipt of the bids is Tuesday, 29th June 2021 at 10:30hrs local time. The bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the Ministry of Energy Conference room on 12 Floor, New Government Complex, Nasser Road, Lusaka, Zambia in the presence of bidders or their representatives who may choose to attend.

LATE OR ELECTRONIC BIDS SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED
