Tender for the Supply and Delivery of Forage Seed for the 2021/2022 Planting Season

The Government of the Republic of Zambia has received financing from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) toward the cost of the Enhanced Smallholder Livestock Investment Programme (E-SLIP)], and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for Supply and Delivery of Forage Seed for the 2021/2022 Planting Season.

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Supply and Delivery of Forage Seed for the 2021/2022 Planting Season as follows:

Description: Perennual Legumes for Seed Multiplication
Delivery Period: 4-6 weeks

Bidding will be governed by the Government of the Republic of Zambia's eligibility rules and procedures and will be conducted through International Competitive Bidding specified in the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and the Public Procurement Regulations of 2011, to the extent such are consistent with the IFAD Procurement Guidelines, whenever there is a conflict in meaning or interpretation, IFAD Framework takes precedence.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Head-Procurement and Supplies Unit, Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 08:00 hours to 13:00 hours and from 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours, Monday to Friday at the address given below.

A complete set of bidding documents in English language may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of ZMW600.00 or equivalent to any convertible currency. The method of payment will be cash. The document will be sent by e-mail or courier for overseas delivery where necessary.

Submission Procedure

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday, 26th August, 2021. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on Thursday, 26th August, 2021 at 10:00 hours.

All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of 2% of the bid sum amount if provided in the form of a bank guarantee or 3% of the bid price if provided in the form of a bid bond and it shall be in a currency of the bid.
