JOB DETAILS:
The Warehouse Coordinator will ensure the efficient handling of inventory, manage warehousing processes, and support our site teams with timely access to critical supplies. This role demands experience in the mining industry, with a focus on heavy equipment, spare parts, and consumables unique to mining environments.

Position Description
This position reports to the System Development & Optimization Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
• Inventory Management: Oversee and monitor stock levels for mining-specific equipment, tools, and consumables such as lubricants, safety gear, and spare parts.
• Implement inventory control measures to maintain minimum and maximum stock levels, preventing both shortages and overstocking.
• Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure accuracy of inventory records, with special attention to high-use mining items.
• Warehouse Organization & Layout: Maintain a well-organized warehouse layout for efficient storage, retrieval, and dispatch of items, particularly large and heavy equipment parts.
• Design and implement labelling, shelving, and storage systems that optimize space and minimize retrieval time, adhering to safety standards for heavy materials.
• Receiving & Dispatch: Supervise the receipt, inspection, and verification of inbound shipments, ensuring quality control on critical mining components.
• Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to schedule deliveries in alignment with operational needs and project timelines.
• Manage the accurate and timely dispatch of materials to on-site teams, facilitating uninterrupted mining and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all warehousing activities comply with Kascco’s safety protocols and Zambian mining regulations, especially concerning the handling of hazardous materials and large equipment.
• Train warehouse staff in proper lifting techniques, equipment usage, and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain precise records of stock movement, including goods received, stored, and dispatched, using ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and storage costs, providing actionable insights for management.
• Collaborate with site managers, maintenance, and procurement teams to stay informed of inventory needs and upcoming projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact for warehouse-related inquiries, coordinating with external suppliers when necessary.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
• Ensure all warehousing activities comply with Kascco’s safety protocols and Zambian mining regulations, especially concerning the handling of hazardous materials and large equipment.
• Train warehouse staff in proper lifting techniques, equipment usage, and adherence to safety standards.
Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain precise records of stock movement, including goods received, stored, and dispatched, using ERP or warehouse management systems.
• Generate regular reports on inventory status, turnover rates, and storage costs, providing actionable insights for management.
Stakeholder Communication:
• Collaborate with site managers, maintenance, and procurement teams to stay informed of inventory needs and upcoming projects.
• Act as the primary point of contact for warehouse-related inquiries, coordinating with external suppliers when necessary.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
• Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Warehouse Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years in warehouse coordination or inventory management, with specific experience in the mining or heavy industries.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP and warehouse management software.
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment and supplies, including storage and handling requirements.
• Knowledge: Understanding of health and safety regulations specific to warehousing in the mining sector.
• Soft Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Working Conditions: This role is based in Kalumbila, with the need for physical presence at the warehouse to oversee daily operations.
• Willingness to work flexible hours to meet mining operation demands and handle urgent stock needs.
