JOB DETAILS:
Role Overview
The Heavy Equipment Repair (H.E.R) Mechanic will perform routine maintenance and repairs on mining equipment to ensure their optimal performance and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in heavy mining equipment.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment such as ADTs (Articulated Dump Trucks).
• Inspect equipment for wear and tear and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety during repair activities.
• Provide on-site support during equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.
• Document maintenance and repair activities for reference and reporting purposes.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Grade 12 certificate.
• Craft Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience, particularly with ADTs and similar equipment.
• Valid Silicosis certificate.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
