JOB DETAILS:
Job Profile:
To Supervise and undertake effectively the provision of legal service in order to safeguard the interests of the Institution and ensure operations are within provisions of the Law.
Main duties:
• Supervises and undertakes the provision of legal advice to the Institution in order to ensure operations are within the provisions of the Law.
• Represents the Council in matters before the Courts of Law.
• Supervises and undertakes effectively the prosecution of cases in order to promote compliance to the Health Professions Act.
• Supervises and undertakes effectively the drafting of legal documents in order to facilitate and strengthen collaborations with other institutions and jurisdictions.
• Supervises and undertakes effectively investigation of complaints in order to establish validity of allegations.
Knowledge and skills requirements:
Primary/Secondary Education:
• Form V/Full Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
Required Vocational/Professional Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree
• A Master’s Degree in Law (LLM) will be an added advantage
• Advocate of the High Court and member of the Law Association of Zambia
Minimum Relevant Pre-Job Experience:
• Five (5) years work experience with Two (2) years at management level
Communication Skills:
Written Skills
• Able to write technical and analytical reports
Oral Skills:
• Able to communicate effectively in English
