JOB DETAILS:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Civil Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in substation projects design, tender documentation and design review.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee construction sites and supervise the use of machinery equipment and tools.
• Knowledgeable and experienced with civil designs and construction.
• Strong site managerial skills.
• Analyze, manage and mitigate project risks including construction, operational, and financial risk
• Prepare and submit budget estimates and cost tracking reports.
• Ensure that all Construction activities are compliant with Industry best practice standards.
• Prepare status reports that support the Superintendent with progress & deadline reports, indicating schedule versus plan and progress.
• Assist in cost management to achieve the maximum business benefit
• To undertake such other duties as may be determined by the direct supervisor

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Masters degree is an added advantage
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia

Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in substation projects design, tender documentation and design review, or a related role.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, powerpoint and excel
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD
