JOB DETAILS:

Alistair Group is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our team in our Kapri office. The Civil Engineer will design, plan, and supervise the construction of a 6-hectare Workshop yard. We would love to hear more about your design and investigative skills that you can bring to this project!

Your responsibilities:
• Consulting and design – Advise and lead team members in all required engineering needs for assigned projects. This includes changes, repairs, and construction design through the use of software and drawing tools. Assess the strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, and steel by testing materials and soil. Assign specifications to the project by computing load and grade requirements, material stress factors, water flow rates, and similar parameters.
• Project management – Plan projects based on the review of drawings, sketches, blueprints, aerial photography and other geologic and topographic data. Estimate material and equipment needed in addition to labour to identify the cost of the project. Work with architects and contractors to ensure project progress and success.
• Market prospecting – Identify markets for future product development and create ways to improve sales of existing products by analyzing business trends.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering required
• Understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and tools
• Proficient in computer-assisted design (CAD) and other design, data recording, and analysis software
• Understanding of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, bridges, roads, and other related structures

Working Hours:
Monday – Friday
Alternate Saturday mornings (9:00 to 13:00)
Package: 17000 ZMW – 23000 ZMW (Cost to Company)
Duration: 6-month contract
