JOB DETAILS:
Position: Modern Trade Assistant
Job purpose
Modern Trade Assistant shall report directly to the Head MT & Alternate Channels, who reports to the Head Commercial Operations
MT Assistant is the central point of contact from the company’s side to all MT chains/stores. He /She will be responsible for generating sales from the Modern Trade Chains/Stores. He / She would lead a team of MT Supervisors, who in turn lead all the Merchandisers/promoters of MT Channel.

Key Responsibilities
• Plan and recommend Chain Level Monthly Promo Calendar.
• Once approved, implement all the promo/ visibility/ focus products/consumer connects in the MT Stores
• Coordinate with respective Store Managers for quality implementation of all the above inputs
• Plan and run Merchandiser contests/ recognition forums at a monthly level
• Organize and Train Merchandisers on Product properties, positioning, communication guidelines for consumer connect activities
• Track and monitor progress of focus/ promo SKUs across chains/ stores
• Coordinate with Printing vendor for designing store level visibility elements
• Assist Head MT & Alternate channels in achieving Sales targets for the channel

Key Qualifications & Requirements
• Good Command in English Language, Nyanja and Bemba
• Strong Communications and Negotiation skills
• Personality: Self-motivated, Aggressive in Sales and Marketing activities
• At least 2-3 years’ experience of sales with any Food/FMCG organization with notable reference
