Lusaka Apex Medical University (LAMU) is a private institution accredited by the Higher Education Authority under the Higher Education Amendment Act No. 23 of 2021. LAMU is dedicated to advancing medical education in Zambia and is regulated by the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ), Nursing & Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ), and the Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA).
LAMU invites applications from mature, motivated, and results-oriented professionals for the following positions:

1. Senior Lecturer/Clinical Consultant Paediatrician
Faculty: Medicine
Role Purpose:
The Senior Lecturer/Clinical Consultant Paediatrician will contribute to the academic excellence of the Faculty of Medicine through teaching, research, and clinical services. This position requires advanced clinical expertise in pediatrics and a strong commitment to mentoring future medical professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide high-quality teaching and mentoring to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students.
• Develop and deliver pediatric-related course content in line with the curriculum.
• Participate in clinical services as a consultant in pediatric cases.
• Conduct and publish research in pediatric medicine to contribute to LAMU's academic portfolio.
• Supervise postgraduate medical students in research and clinical practice.
• Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance academic programs.

Qualifications:
• MBChB (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery).
• MMED or an equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics.
• Age: 35 to 65 years.

Experience:
• A minimum of 7 years of experience at the Senior Clinical Consultant or Senior Lecturer level in a recognized institution.

2. Lecturer – Faculty of Nursing
Role Purpose:
The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching, mentoring, and contributing to the academic and clinical excellence of the Faculty of Nursing. The role includes research activities, curriculum development, and active involvement in professional and community services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Teach and guide undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students in theoretical and clinical courses.
• Develop course materials and lesson plans aligned with the curriculum.
• Conduct research and contribute to the publication of nursing-related studies.
• Participate in curriculum reviews to ensure it meets national and international standards.
• Mentor and supervise students in their clinical placements and research projects.
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance nursing education.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) with a current practicing license.

Experience:
• 2 to 3 years of teaching experience in a recognized institution.
• Must possess a Teaching Methodology Certificate.

3. Tutor and Clinical Instructor – Faculty of Nursing
Role Purpose:
The Tutor and Clinical Instructor will provide both theoretical and practical nursing education to students. This position bridges academic knowledge and clinical application, ensuring that students acquire the necessary competencies to excel in the nursing profession.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver classroom-based lectures and practical training sessions.
• Supervise and mentor students during their clinical rotations in healthcare settings.
• Provide guidance on patient care and nursing procedures in clinical environments.
• Assist in the development and evaluation of course content and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of students’ performance in both theoretical and clinical settings.
• Stay updated on current best practices in nursing to ensure high-quality instruction.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Zambia (NMCZ) with a valid practicing license.

Experience:
• 1 to 2 years of teaching experience in a recognized institution.
• Must possess a Teaching Methodology Certificate.

4. Assistant Registrar
Role Purpose:
The Assistant Registrar will provide administrative support to the university, ensuring the efficient management of academic and non-academic processes. This role involves handling student records, coordinating events, and facilitating the smooth running of university operations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing student records, registrations, and transcripts.
• Support the Registrar in overseeing admissions processes and academic scheduling.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and communications for the Registrar’s office.
• Maintain and update university databases and documentation.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative support for examinations and graduation ceremonies.
• Ensure compliance with university policies and national higher education regulations.

Qualifications:
• Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Public Administration, or a related Social Science field.
• Must be proficient in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher.

Experience:
• At least 2 years of working experience in a similar administrative role.
