JOB DETAILS:
Background
Akros strengthens national health systems in developing countries. Akros plans to procure assorted materials to support the implementation of a project activity within Zambia.
Akros invites eligible vendors to submit quotations for the listed goods/materials based on the terms and conditions highlighted. .

Goods/Materials (Cloth materials)
1. Face Masks that meet specifications below: (Quantity – 13,000)
• Single layer face covering sewn to a finished size of 8” x 5″ with a minimum of 3 pleats across the long surface.
• Fabric must be colored cotton drill
• The face mask should have ties made from cotton drill which are at least 30 inches long with a finished seam on all edges.
• See photograph at the end of this solicitation for an image of the type of mask required.
2. Round neck cotton t-shirts that meet the specification below: (Quantity – 16,000)
• Mix of 20% medium, 40% large and 40% extra-large sizes
• Primary colors or colors from the Zambian flag
• Screen printed on the front and back with a design supplied by the purchaser
3. Sturdy cotton drill carry bag with shoulder straps: (Quantity – 7,000)
• Bag must be constructed of colored cotton drill fabric.
• Approximate dimensions are 16” wide x 12” high x 6” deep.
• Straps should be at least 30” in length from one attachment point to another.
• The straps must be attached firmly to the bag with reinforced seams to prevent failure at the attachment points.
All seams must be finished so that there are no visible raw edges interior or exterior of the bag

Terms for the Supply of Goods/Materials (Quotations)
To be eligible for selection, the vendor must:
• Submit a business registration certificate and a tax clearance certificate
• The quotations must be on an official quotation format
• All quotations must clearly state terms of payment
• Quotations should clearly state the specifications of the goods/materials as provided herein
• All quotations for the face mask and the sturdy carry bags must include the vendor’s sample of the item that the vendor proposes to supply
• All quotations must clearly state delivery period of goods/materials (preference will be given to vendors who can deliver within 14 days)
• Quotations provided shall only be for the goods/materials that the vendor intends to supply.
• All quotations shall be submitted electronically to the contact provided below
• All goods/materials shall comply with the Zambia Bureau of Standards and any other regulatory authority.

Enquiries and Submission of Quotations
All enquiries relating to this RFQ, or specifications and detail of the goods/materials or services in this RFQ must be submitted to proposals@akros.com . Specifications for the masks and bags will be provided on request.
The email submission must specify the following in the subject line: Response to RFQ for supply of masks, t-shirts, and carry bags.
Closing date for the receiving of RFQs is 12:00 hrs CAT, on Thursday, August 20, 2020. Submissions for the RFQ should be submitted electronically to proposals@akros.com . No hard copy submissions will be accepted.
One sample of the mask and/or the carry bag should be delivered to security guard at the Akros office at 45A Roan Road, Kabulonga. Please enclose the sample in an envelope and clearly label both the sample and the envelope with the name of the vendor.
