Overall Responsibility
We are looking for a Safety Officer to join our team and promote continual improvement, humility and safety across the company.

Main Accountabilities
Confirm safety aspects on site, including need for personal protective equipment, sources of ignition and potential need for evacuation; Conducting inductions, inspections, safety awareness programs, training to ensure understanding and compliance to safety management system, standards and requirements. Advise employees in the area of any potential threat and/or initiate evacuation procedures; Assist in emergency response and provide first aid treatment. Perform other work related tasks as required as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12 Certificate Minimum of a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety obtained from a recognized institution 3 years’ minimum work experience in related field Advanced First Aid or Basic Life Support Basic Fire Fighting Knowledge Self-motivation, leadership and innovation. Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety. Member of Zambia Occupational Health and Safety Association (ZOHSA) will be an added advantage.
